As the Head of Marketing you are in charge of Kiuas' marketing and brand.

Regarding marketing, your role includes creating a strategy but also implementing it.

In order for Kiuas to maintain its position as an accelerator with high standards, coming up with new ways of reaching the most potential startups/teams in Finland during the application campaigns for programs is essential.

In addition to marketing, you will be in charge of communications. This includes content creation and handling our social media. Overall your role contains various activities and there is no such thing as a "regular working day".

As a small organization, each Kiuas team member has a large responsibility area, but within the team you will never be alone, and we help each other out as much as we can.


Below are listed qualities that we look for in a candidate. Generally these are not strict requirements, however having these lets you focus fully on the relevant stuff.

Fluent in English. This is important as all of our communication happens in English.

Vision. Regarding marketing & communications, you will be in charge. Thus leadership and the ability to form and express your vision is important.

Previous experience in marketing and/or content creation. You have done something in the range of written blog posts, maintained an Instagram account or run Facebook marketing. We believe that part of the job will be learned on the go, however it is hard to be on top of things if you must focus too much on the basics.

People skills. Most of Kiuas' operations include working with people and maintaining good relations, and on top of that we are a small team. Good communication skills and the ability to get along and genuinely be interested in people is a major benefit.

Ready to learn. No matter how much good previous experience one would have, the Kiuas environment is pretty unique. Personal development, and lifelong interest to learn carry a long way.


As Head of Marketing you will have a lot of freedom when it comes to expressing your vision for Kiuas. Ideally you get your personality and style reflected on your work.

Recruitment process

For all of the roles, the recruitment process has three steps:
1) 1-on-1 meeting with Patrik.
2) Small role-specific assignment.
3) Final interview with the current team.


We aim to be as transparent as possible about how we proceed with the process and make final decisions for all roles before June, however, the positions will be filled as soon as possible. Starting times for each role can be found in the role-specific descriptions.
